Another scratch board! So scratch boards seem to be in short supply in my area, atleast at the local art supply stores, I finally found some packs of 10 at udrecht, I was contemplating purchasing the packs online however I would've paid as much for 2 packs for one pack. Luckily though, this udrecht store had 2 10 packs which I snagged and bought!

Anyways, enough about the hunt for scratch boards, this would be my 4th scratch board piece. I like how it came out, feels more stylized, and seems to look better the further away you are, kind of like those beautiful paintings that when you get up close you just see a bunch of random swishes and and strokes in almost non sensical patterns, but when you step back you see it come together. I'm still using only an exacto knife to do these, as I'm both a little afraid to venture into the realm of other tools and I feel more comfortable like the exacto knife does all I need it to.

I also tend to get rather OCD about scratchboards lately, and I suppose it helps me improve, this time around I tried a little hard to clean up the leftovers in the white areas . there's still some specs, but they're not too noticeable unless you zoom in on it though. Hopefully with time I'll improve and eventually perfect the cleaning up process on these areas.
